Waterloo Region Community Information Database
To use the Waterloo Region Community Information database, follow these easy steps.
At the Community Information database main
menu, select the type of search you want to
perform:
ORGANIZATION or COURSE: to search for an organization or continuing education course by the
exact name. You may also use acronyms, such as YMCA.
PUBLICATION: to search for an organization by the name of the newsletter, brochure
or publication that the organization produces. For example: CARP News
WORDS in the TOPIC: to search by one or more words on a particular topic. For example:
SENIORS MEALS or SLO PITCH or ABUSE PREVENTION. This may be useful when you
don't know the exact group or course name, or when you are uncertain about the
subject
LIMITING YOUR SEARCH
You can also limit your search results according to selected criteria, such
as wheelchair accessibility, level of government, geographic location,
languages spoken, and other words in the topic. To do this:
Search by Organization or Course, Publication or Words in the Topic
Select Limit/Sort Results
Select the criteria to limit your search. Your choices are:
Languages spoken
Wheelchair accessibility
Level of Government
Where an agency/organization is located
Additional words in the Topic
Select "Limit/Sort items retrieved using above data" to find and display the records that match the limits you have specified.
